Biketape can be applied dry straight from the box, or using a wet application. For standard dry application please follow the steps at the bottom of this page.

Wet application instructions:

In the video below, Phil shows how to apply Biketape to a frame using the wet application method. This is great for big bits of tape as it lets you reposition the tape and makes it easier to work with.

Standard dry application instructions:

Step 1

Biketape is easy to apply. Proper application will ensure it stays in place for years to come. It’s worth taking your time so you get the best results. Clean the surface area well, ideally with degreaser – but make sure no cleaning product is left on the frame.

Step 2

Measure the surface you want to protect.

Step 3

Cut the tape to the required size using sharp scissors or a craft knife.

Step 4

Peel back the white backing strip from one end to expose the sticky side.

Step 5

Apply to the surface, peeling away the backing strip & smoothing from the centre towards the edges as you go.

Step 6

Using a hairdryer to heat the tape will help create a stronger bond & make it easier to apply to tight curves. If you have any questions whatsoever please drop us an email.
